Pictures in the trenches (1917)

After blogging about several family members who served during the Great War, I wanted to end for now with some pictures taken from the family archives, which were actually taken in the trenches in the Belgian village of Ramskapelle. This village has been the scene of very severe fighting during WWI.

Who the gentlemen in the pictures are, I still have to find out. I'm not sure they are actually relatives...

  1. Wow. What amazing historical treasures to have in your personal family collection. Very curious to hear if you're able to identify the men and their war stories.
